Three provinces facing sustainability problems find answers in the State’s premier university.
University of the Philippines (UP) launchesthe UP Good Governance Initiative Program (UP GGI) to address the gap in services and assistance that hold up the internal sustainability of Alaminos, Pulilan, and Tarlac.
The said Local Government Units (LGUs) face problems in Agriculture, Social service, and Health assistance respectively.
Challenges of the Towns
Alaminos, an agricultural municipality turned city in Pangasinan is experiencing problems in net importation of their goods because of insufficient funds and low production of supplies and products.
Furthermore, Pulilan in Bulacan also have gaps in extending helping hands because they need an organization and management intervention to fully execute their practice of giving assistance to the people by means of social services such as Education, Health, Housing, etc.
Meanwhile, Tarlac, Tarlac has health drawbacks because of the lack of accessibility in PhilHealth accreditation.
Program Goals

The UP GGI Program addresses these through immersions and through creation of conceptual frameworks and analysis that are solutions to the problems of the LGUs.

The student trainees or “fellows” undergo the Galing Pook Lecture Series to have citizen empowerment and governance excellence and processes of capacity building to fully link the gap between the LGU and to have a representation within the community.
In there, the fellows contribute to the lack of solutions to the developmental problems. As of now, initial papers of the outcomes and effects of the program are turned over to the respective LGUs.
Scope of the Program
The UP GGI is an ongoing activity for UP students who advocate Student - LGU team up for development and progress.
Further plans on extending the scope of its agenda are to be announced.

Paunchy PartyLast December 21, I went to University of Santo Tomas (UST) in Manila to attend their yearly Christmas celebration. The only reason I attended was that many of my closest friends are studying there and they invited us to come to have a sort of reunion.
Here’s what I wore during the event:

HYPE IT ON LOOKBOOK.NU!
I didn’t sport a sophisticated style for I already know how haggard it is to attend Paskuhan. Oh, and I really adore the watch I recently bought. Linkgraphix is a Thai based brand and it is available in SM Department Stores or in my case, I bought it in Artwork. Go check out their designs! They have tons to choose from!

I compiled a video on what happened during that night. Fireworks and happy kids dancing! Go ahead and feel free to watch it. Sorry if it’s too lame because I’m still working on Final Cut Pro :-)

It really was a quality time with my friends even though it was very tiring. We were even out until 4 in the morning :)

The Polaroid VentureEvery time I take pictures, there are some shots that are not worth to be uploaded. Some of it are too blurry or too exposed or whatever. I don’t want those pictures to go to my mac’s trash because somehow I think they are still a part of the other nice photographs. Hence, I decided to put up a project in which these photos will be in use in a creative manner.
The Polaroid Venture.

I will be posting some of the pictures every now and then. Have fun on your Holidays everyone!

Crossing XX
It’s been a while since I updated my blog. I have been very busy with some things that made me very quiet for a while. So last month, I attended two major events which highlighted my month of November. I recently joined Tin Iglesias’ Fashion Illustration Workshop sponsored by Rio Mints PH and then the Crissa Dance Competition where my friend competed. Both of the events happened at the same day!
I’m just going to blog about my outfit that day.

Hype it on Lookbook.nu!
The Cardigan was from Oxygen, Skinny Chinos from Topman, Sling bag from Forever 21 Men, and High Cut Chucks from Converse. The sando was courtesy of my Father’s closet. :)

I didn’t get the chance to have a shot of the accessories I wore that day because I was very tired from all the activities I had. But I wore the usual - my connector rings, my tribal bracelets and a wooden rosary. (They said wearing a rosary will lead you to bad luck. Is that true or what?)

Ohh I love the super8 film vibe of these pictures. Thank you Kem Limpiado for taking my photos!
PS: I’m thinking if my giveaway will be pushed through or not. If you guys would participate then I would probably do it. :)
